What JAMARQ Is Now: Websites, Software and PC Repair

This week was about what JAMARQ has been doing. This last note is about what JAMARQ is now, including the newest part of the work: PC repair.

October 30, 2026

The short version

JAMARQ solves technology problems for people and small businesses. Sometimes the problem is a website that can't take a quote request. Sometimes it's a process someone does by hand every week. Sometimes it's the computer on your desk.

That last one is new. JAMARQ now does PC repair.

Why PC repair fits

It isn't as random as it sounds. Everything this week has been the same job underneath: figure out what's actually wrong, then make the system work properly. A website, an admin system and a laptop are different sizes of the same problem. A computer is just a smaller system with a power button.

The method carries over too. Diagnose before touching anything. Explain the problem in plain language. Get approval. Then fix it properly, and say so when something is outside what can be done well.

How a repair works

Drop-off is by appointment near Winston-Salem. Every repair starts with a diagnostic, and the diagnostic fee is credited toward the repair if you go ahead with it.

The diagnostic only reads from your drive. It runs on Triage, the diagnostic drive from Wednesday's note, which starts the computer from its own system, tests the hardware and writes a report without changing anything on your machine. You get a plain-English report of what's wrong and what fixing it would cost. Nothing gets repaired without your approval.

Prices are flat and published on the PC repair page, so you know the number before you bring anything in. The common jobs are there: tune-ups for slow computers, virus and malware removal, SSD upgrades with your files moved over, and internal cleaning with fresh thermal paste for laptops that run hot.

What isn't offered yet

Some things JAMARQ doesn't do yet, like phone and tablet repair or board-level soldering. The full list is on the repair page. It's better to say that up front than to take a job that can't be finished properly.

The rest of JAMARQ

The rest of the business is still here and still most of the work: websites and the admin systems behind them, ongoing support for those systems, and custom software for problems that don't have an off-the-shelf answer. The case studies show the websites, the apps page shows the software, and the services pages explain how working together goes.

More of the work, as it happens

The bigger change is the one this whole week has been about. JAMARQ spent a year building and almost no time showing it. From here, more of the work will show up as it happens: sites launched or fixed, software and experiments, repairs from the bench, real problems and how they got solved, and the occasional explanation of why something was built a certain way. Some of it will be here in the notes. Some of it will be shorter posts on social media.

There's no promise of a schedule attached to that, just an intention to stop keeping the work to myself.

If you need something

If your computer is slow, broken, acting strange, or you just don't know what's wrong with it, the PC repair page has the prices and the booking details. For anything else, a website, a process or a system that isn't working the way it should, the contact page is the place to start.

Thanks for reading this week.
