JustLFG, by JAMARQ

JustLFG

A Discord event bot that lets linked servers share one event and one RSVP list.

Began 2026-08-08 as its own brand. Its Worker skeleton was copied from Vaexcore Relay, with no dependency on it. Live since 2026-08-17.

Why it was built

Sesh and Apollo cover one Discord server well. A community that runs a main server plus squad or regional servers gets duplicate posts and split RSVPs, and nobody sees the whole list.

JustLFG links those servers. An event is posted once, people RSVP from whichever server they are in, and every copy shows the same list.

It was started because two things held at once: a real gap in coordination across servers that agree to be linked, and the intent to sell it as a product under its own name.

What it does today

Built and working

Linked servers

Cross-server networks mirror an event into every linked server, with live RSVPs combined into one list and a shared place to discuss it.

One-command events

Going, Maybe and Can't, a waitlist, role slots and fireteams, from one command or an interactive builder. Each event can open a temporary channel or a thread.

Everyone's own time zone

Times show in each member's own time zone, and reminders arrive by direct message.

Recurring series

Weekly series that members opt into, an Ask me first option, and Cancel series to end the whole run at once.

A web dashboard

Discord sign-in for settings, analytics and a planner, plus a public events page and a personal calendar feed.

How it came to be

The development cycle

The bot has 213 commits and 190 merged pull requests, as of 2026-10-05, and the site has 61 commits and 55 merged pull requests. Nearly every change went through a pull request.

  1. 2026-08-08

The bot scaffold, its own address at bot.justlfg.app, and commands to list, edit and cancel events.

  2. 2026-08-14

Cross-server networks, recurring events and calendar file export.

  3. 2026-08-16

Availability polls, a role on RSVP, and a deploy on every merge. The site launched.

  4. 2026-08-17

Live. Per-server Premium, an admin panel, and Stripe billing built but switched off. The site moved to Vercel with pricing and an example showcase.

  5. 2026-08-18 to 08-19

An interactive event builder and global commands, then about 34 pull requests in one day: temporary channels, co-hosts, role and slot signups, plus-ones, notes, cloning and history.

  6. 2026-08-22 to 08-23

Templates, sync with Discord Scheduled Events, a self-updating board, forget-me, abuse controls and attendance. A public events page and a dashboard with Discord sign-in.

  7. 2026-08-26 to 08-30

Dashboard settings, analytics and a phone layout. Creating an event from a plain sentence. The settings command split to fit Discord's 8,000-character limit.

  8. 2026-09-04

Per-event spaces: off, a temporary channel, or a thread.

  9. 2026-09-13 to 09-14

The first Stripe checkout verified in test mode. Event management on the web, a voice button, signup lock, a personal calendar feed and cross-server discussion.

  10. 2026-09-24

Fixes from tester feedback: a fix for duplicate recurring events, series with Cancel series, typed time zones, and Ask me first.

  11. 2026-09-30

Fireteams with Premium balancing, and poll controls only the host can use.

  12. 2026-10-02 to 10-04

Old suite wording removed from the bot and the site, and a dependency advisory check on every pull request.

Where it stands

Real, and not yet

  • •Live and in use. A gaming community runs all of its event scheduling on it.
  • •The free tier is complete: events, RSVP and waitlists, fireteams, time zones, reminders, polls, calendar export, voice on start, up to 10 active events, and networks of up to 3 servers.
  • •Anyone can add it to a Discord server from justlfg.app.

Not built, or switched off

  • Premium is priced on the site at $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year per server, with a 7-day trial, and marked Launching soon. It is not on sale yet.
  • Checkout, the signed billing webhook and the billing portal are built, but the bot still answers that Premium is rolling out soon. For now Premium is granted by hand from the admin panel.
